To me, a trip with no adventures and no outdoor activities is not a successful trip. I would rather travel to South America to hike, climb and sweat, than fly to Europe for a beautiful, calm and romantic getaway.
My name is Steve Malman, and I love adventure and the outdoors. For that reason, I have created this blog, which includes various adventure stories, articles, outdoor trip suggestions, and the latest news about new adventurous options, such as the best fishing sports, or the longest walking trails.
My love for nature and risk began when I was very young. Every Saturday, my family and I would pack a big lunch and drive to a new park, trail, mountain, lake, or any other place to which we have never been, in order to spend the day there. We would walk around the park, trying to find interesting trees; we would walk along the trail, searching for animals or insects; we would climb the mountain all the way to the top, with no excuse; we would take out our fishing hooks and sit there until a fish was caught, and a fish was always caught. We were a fun-loving family, and could never sit at home and just watch television.
As I got older my love for risky adventures expanded, and I started doing more dangerous activities, such as bungee jumping, scuba diving and more. Now that I am a father, my wife and I try to teach our children the love for the outdoors, as it is very important and could be very enriching.
I recommend everyone to go and seek their favorite things to do outside, where the wind blows, the sun rises and the trees bloom. Have a good time!
